Noxious odor

I am posting on behalf of El Centinela neighbors Susan and Mike Davis because they do not have access to a computer at this time.
They are experiencing a strong, noxious odor on their street which they believe to be coming from the Melo chicken fincas. They feel it is a health hazard. They wonder if others have noticed this pervasive odor. They have voiced their concerns to the Vistamares office, but nothing has been done to alleviate the situation.
Marco and I occasionally notice a strong and revolting odor on our street, but it does not smell at all like the chicken fincas we pass on the way up and down the hill. The odor we notice is not frequent, not regular, does not seem dependent on the presence or absence of wind nor wind direction, has no correlation with time of day, day of week, or season, and we have not been able to determine the source.
Has anybody else in El Centinela or elsewhere noticed this? Does anybody else have an idea of the cause?
